Criticism class: DAY 4

 With a beating heart, I headed to college for today was my criticism class . I took the first session based on Constructivism model of teaching. My class took around 45 minutes and I think I need to improve more in my energy level and in student participation while tg.  Second class by Aleena on concept attainment model of teaching. She took very well it many yes examples and no examples. Third class by Aswathy which is an ICT based model. She also took the class very well by including animates videos and ppt. Since our classes are a bit long , there was no time for criticism, so mam tell 8s to discuss that tomorrow and I am eagerly waiting for comments on my class. Already peers tell me about my positives and negatives.  Afternoon, semifinals of chess competition held . Then, joju sir took class on assessment.

 Today also ,three students take criticism class. 1. Shilpa-Concept Attainment model She takes the portion of prisms from class 8. For tg this model,she bring many models where some are yes examples and some are no examples. She take class in a very simple manner and it was very easy enough to understand the concept.  2.Sruthi- Activity-oriented method  She took portion of parallel lines from class 9. She incorporated many activities and a video for making the concept more clearer. She also took the class in good and in a easy manner.  3. Emily- Activity- oriented method  Her class was recorded and for that ,the class was scheduled in the green room situated near to reading room. She took identities through activities. She took the whole class in English and was was an interesting session.  Afternoon,  we have a live concert by a singer karavur Chandrababu. Chess competition was held from 1.30pm onwards. Criticism class:DAY 1

From today onwards ,the criticism class starts for all the six classes of B.Ed starts.  We, the mathematics department starts with 3 students: 1. Pranav : Constructivism model of tg He took the portion from class 9 on the topic measures of circle . He took the whole class in English and was very confident enough, eventhough he start as first one. Also used ICT for more clear picture of the topic along with other AV aids. 2. Aby : Inquiry training model  He starts the class with a small motivational story  that created interest in students. This model requires students to ask yes or no questions for which tr replies as yes or no. This model was actually a challenging one but aby took it very smoothly and the whole class has got a positive vibe. He concluded with another story too!! 3. Revathy:  Activity oriented method A fully activity oriented class with lot of models, charts and activities. She expressed all her creativity and has got good explanation skill too. Even after the offline class begins, due to heavy rain warning , we have another week of online class. Each day we got one and half hour of optional class and one core paper session in each day. In optional hours, Deepthi mam taught about curriculum designing in math education, types of curriculum like topical,spiral,logical etc. Then, new approaches in curriculum construction- Reflective and Experiential lg. Study groups like SMSG,SMP & NMP where discussed. On Wednesday, joju sir handled core paper hour. Research- functions,importance where taught. Then ,meaning of fundamental as well as applied research where discussed with their differences. Pooja week

This week,we have only 3 working days due to Pooja holidays. From next week onwards our criticism class will start and in-between our, university exam date published as Nov 15 and we are asked to pay exam fees. Lots of work to finish including studies..hectic days are coming😳😲🥵. Maya portions almost finished and only some small portions to cover. Mam console us to not get panic by exam dates but to be more systematic for completing works. Taught about higher education systems problems and suggestions.  Teachers told us about our valuation of sem1 has been starting and I think giby mam was busy and didn't take any class this week.  Joju sir taught about qualities of researcher and characteristics of a research.  Ancy mam taught mode and gave problems to findode. Then started measures of dispersion. offline class..happy vibes

An end to long 6 month long online class and offline class begins on 4th October. At first, we all feel an inhibition for sitting long hours in class that has become a memory once.. All teachers share their happiness for seeing us for they all like to teach offline . Maya mam taught about the problems in our Indian Education system - primary and secondary level; gave chance  to discuss on the same..Along with it, mam ask few to recite the nursery rhymes they remember..pranav sing " twinkle twinkle little 🌟" and fathima recite a malayalam nursery song 🎵 which I didn't heard before! In Giby mam first class ,we enjoyed a lot by sharing joy for offline class and make students those who got engaged and marriged at the lockdown time to 💃 Ancy mam taught statistics where problems are dealt with..Correlation by using Spearman rank difference method.
