Teaching practice-👩‍🏫👩‍💻WEEK 1️⃣

 January 6th and 7th ,2022

(Thursday & Friday)

Finally, our teaching practice days has been arrived, as a part of our B.Ed third semester practicals in field. 

I got St.Gorettis Higher Secondary School for teaching practise. Since the school is situated near to my  church, from my childhood itself,I have got a close relationship with the school for my Sunday school classes where conducted there along with many programs which I participated too!! 

The optional teachers I got where are Sabu sir and Jolly teacher;  Sabu sir was my sir and influenced me a lot for becoming Mathematics a favourite subject 😀. Jolly mam was my friends mother whom I know from childhood days. Thus, their immense support and directions help me a lot to take classes. 

First day:6/1/2022

I have two classes- 9C and 8 B.

Sabu sir and my classmate Josena came to observe the class 9C during 2nd hour. Eventhough I was a bit nervous, after entering the class I got energy to take class and students too a  bit mischief . I take the portion of 'Similar triangles 🔺️  ' with one of the models of teaching- Conept Attainment model with the help of models of 🔺️. 

After that, a have class at 8B during 4th period. That class was a good class and children's are greatly engaged in learning and disciplined ones too. Jolly mam just came to check the class as everything is OK.I took the portion - Identities ( productof sums) through geometrical method with activities for children too. 

In both classes , I tried to gave same motivation by mentioning aesop fables of rabbit and tortoise..

Due to Covid-19 situations,  school works from 9 to 1pm with Saturdays as working days; for their is two shift. 

1st shift from Monday to Wednesday .

2nd shift from Thursday to Saturday. 

For there are 2 shifts, we have to teach same topic twice in a week ...

As the leader of our group, I have assigned to give duties for morning session, interval, lunch & Disciplinary duties to our batch mates . 

Today, a program has been conducted for 5,6,7 th class students called ' hello English ' during first hour.

Second  day:07/01/2022

Today I have only one hour. Headmistress assigned to give the duty list today itself and I was quite busy with that for it should not come in clash with our near classhours.

With the help of friends , I prepared the list and submit by 12PM.

I have 2nd period for 8th std. One student which was not present yesterday came today who was ADHD. My concerned teacher informed this and ask to take special attention. Today I proceed with problems regarding identities -'product of sums'. To check previous knowledge  , I gave activity card and sts engaged activity for which tally is provided. 

At lunch time, I have discipline duty and finished my duty   by 1.10PM.
